Former NBA Player Delonte West Is Reportedly Released From Jail After Being Arrested On Multiple Charges
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, West suffered a medical emergency after fleeing from police. Law enforcement arrested him on the morning of June 6 in Groveton, Virginia. They approached him to serve a warrant for violating the terms of his release. However, the 40-year-old had other plans and took off on foot. Police ran after him, but the former baller was able to shake them momentarily. The FCPD later found West “unresponsive.”
Police told the outlet, “Narcan was administered by officers but [it] did not have the desired effect.” Narcan is a medication that treats overdoses. They took Delonte to the hospital. The medication was administered again. It worked.
Law enforcement exclusively told TMZ, “West was released from the hospital and transported to ADC.” He was booked for the misdemeanors at the Fairfax County Detention Center at 4:35 a.m.
Delonte didn’t appear to be in his right mind from the looks of his mugshot. His eyes were low and unfocused.
